Iran’s Tabatabaei wins bronze at Avagyan memorial

TEHRAN – Mohammadamin Tabatabaei of Iran won a bronze medal at the 5th Stepan Avagyan Memorial 2024.

Indian chess player Arjun Erigais finished first with 6.5/9, followed by American Sevian Samuel and Tabatabaei 5/9.

The memorial was held in Jermuk, Armenia on June 10-18.

A 10-player single round-robin, the tournament included five Armenian representatives and five international grandmasters.
